About
Professional Overview
I am a Principal Cloud Architect specializing in observability, reliability, and cloud-native systems. My work focuses on helping teams design, understand, and operate complex platforms through effective telemetry, architecture, and data-driven insights.
Over the past several years, I have worked closely with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to improve system visibility, diagnose issues proactively, and build architectures that scale reliably as organizations evolve. Through this experience, observability has become a central theme in my work—not as a toolset, but as a design principle that spans infrastructure, applications, data platforms, and distributed systems.
In addition to my professional role, I write and speak about observability, cloud engineering, and the growing intersection of AI and modern systems.
Education & Early Foundations
I began my academic journey in India, where I earned a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electronics and Communications Engineering. This foundation sparked my early interest in large-scale systems, networks, and signal-driven analysis. During this time, I engaged in academic research and published a paper with IEEE, which was presented at an international conference.
In 2016, I moved to the United States to pursue a Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park. My educational experience introduced me to structured research, technical writing, and presenting complex ideas to specialized audiences—skills that continue to influence my work today.
Professional Journey
After completing my graduate studies, I joined Oracle in 2018 as a Cloud Solutions Engineer, working in a customer-facing role focused on cloud infrastructure. My early work centered on Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), where I helped customers design and operate compute, storage, and networking solutions at scale.
As my role evolved, I progressed to Staff Cloud Engineer in 2019 and Senior Cloud Engineer in 2021. During this period, my focus expanded beyond infrastructure into observability for cloud platforms. I began working extensively with telemetry data—logs, metrics, and traces—to help teams gain deeper visibility into system behavior and performance.
Over time, my work shifted toward more advanced observability layers, including log analytics, correlation across services, and operational insights for complex cloud environments. I observed firsthand how observability plays a critical role not only in infrastructure reliability, but also in databases, SaaS platforms, and distributed applications.
In 2025, I was promoted to Principal Cloud Architect. In this role, I continue to work at the intersection of architecture, observability, and system reliability, helping organizations design solutions that are resilient, scalable, and operable by design.
Advocacy, Mentoring & Community
Alongside my technical work, I am passionate about supporting women in technology, particularly women in engineering roles. I regularly engage with students and early-career professionals who are navigating technical career paths and seeking clarity on skill development, growth opportunities, and long-term direction.
I enjoy mentoring individuals who are transitioning into cloud engineering, exploring observability roles, or aiming to grow from engineering positions into architectural or leadership responsibilities. These conversations are grounded in real-world experience and practical guidance rather than prescribed paths.
